Booking Options for Room Upgrade

Learn more about the options that can be used in order to upsell room upgrade offers

There are several options that can be used in order upsell room upgrade offers:

  • Instant Booking– With the Instant Booking option your  guests can instantly book the room upgrade offer they want without waiting for your approval. The reservation will be automatically updated in Wishbox with the new room type the guest has selected. Depending on the PMS integration you have, the reservation can also be automatically updated in your PMS. If the your integration does not support automatic updates you will need to make sure to manually change the reservation in your PMS. Contact Wishbox support to find out if upgrades are automatically updated in your PMS. 

    When a new room upgrade order is booked it will appear in your upsell section under “Orders”. 
  • Require Approval – This option allows you to manually approve the upgrade before the guest receives a confirmation email. The guest will select the room upgrade deal they want and the offer will remain in “pending approval” status until confirmed by the hotel. The hotel will receive an email notification every time an upgrade is requested by guests.

    When a new room upgrade request comes in, it will appear in the “Room upgrade Request” section in the Upsell page, where you can approve or deny the deal. When the deal is approved or denied, your guests will receive and automated email notifying them of the order status of the upgrade. 

  • Guest Bidding – Allow guests to bid on upgrade offers based on their budget and expectations. Using the Guest bidding option you are able to set a minimum and maximum price for every room upgrade deal and let guests place their own price. You will be able to approve or deny every offer based upon pricing and availability.

    When a new room upgrade request comes in, it will appear in the “Room upgrade Request” section in the Upsell page, where you can approve or deny the deal. When the bid is approved or denied, your guests will receive and automated email notifying them of the order status of the upgrade.
